This team arrives extra early on Sunday mornings to prepare a continental style breakfast for the rest of the morning team members who come to setup, rehearse or otherwise get ready for the first service.

They also prepare coffee for Café 890 which is open before each weekend service.

We believe that everything we do at Gateway Church should have a specific purpose, and that the purpose must be in harmony with our vision and mission. In this way we can avoid doing things just because “we should” or because “we’ve always done them” and end up losing the heart and meaning of doing them in the first place.

It is for that reason that 100% of monies raised from the sale of coffee, tea, cold drinks and snacks go toward missions endeavours at Gateway. This allows us to give our café the purpose that it should have: to do something for others, not just ourselves.

Jesus said, “If you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.” Matthew 10:42 We realize that many of us may not be able to personally give a cup of cold water to someone in another country, but we can have a cup of hot coffee right here in London, and be a part of the teams giving those cups of cold water in Jesus’ name!
