We tend to think of a servant as being a lower position in society, something less important than the rest of us. It’s easy for us to view what someone else does as less important than what we do, but without that person we’d know just how vital their service is. It would not be a stretch to say that the primary role of a real Christian is to be a servant, and that this is vital to our existence as a community and as a society.
