METAMORPHOSIS: Living a Transformed Life

Every year people make new resolutions, or at least think about changes they need to make to their lives. The increase in the number of people going to fitness clubs suggests that one of those changes involves weight loss and personal health. So what changes do YOU need to make? What parts of your life could use a transformation? Maybe it’s finances, relationships, marriage, family, friendship, health, handling problems, or managing stress. Whatever it is for you, wouldn’t it be wonderful to experience real change in those areas? If you’ve ever seen a caterpillar transform into a butterfly, it’s truly amazing – it’s a metamorphosis, a real change from the inside out. Now that’s the kind of transformation we could all use!

Gateway’s theme for 2012 is METAMORPHOSIS: Living a Transformed Life. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “If anyone is in Christ, that person is a new creation; old things have passed away, and all things have become new.” We began the year by looking at being “New Wineskins”, ready for whatever God has for us, and willing to stretch to accommodate His purposes. On our second Sunday we looked at “2012: The End or The Beginning?” where Pastor Rick laid out an exciting vision for Gateway this year, including the steps we need to take in the direction God is leading us. If you were not able to experience these services, we strongly encourage you to view the videos, as they are essential to Gateway’s mission and vision, and will help us “keep the unity of the Spirit” as Ephesians 4:3 says. We believe this year will be life-changing for you!
